Our own website, rebuilt into Displace OS: a working macOS simulation where every app is a real part of the business. It began as a positioning and content reset and grew into a full operating-system interface once the portfolio, journal, tools and lead paths had enough structure to live inside apps. Finder holds the portfolio, the App Store ships our open source tools as installable repos, the Journal publishes engineering stories as paper documents, Mail and Calendar take real inquiries and bookings. Built on Next.js 16, React 19, Zustand and framer-motion with a custom 60fps window manager, an iOS springboard for phones, and full crawler parity behind the simulation.
A portfolio you can play with
The public launch happened after months of research, content migration, interface prototypes and hardening. The final OS replaced v3 with 13 working apps, 98 mobile Lighthouse performance, structured data from FAQPage to SoftwareSourceCode, llms.txt for AI search, a complete redirect map from the previous site, and five hidden easter eggs. The demo is the deliverable: every interaction on the site is the sales pitch for what we build.
