The Challenge: Matching Digital to Reputation
Displace Agency built the website for Draper Associates, the Silicon Valley venture capital firm founded by Tim Draper with a portfolio spanning 60+ unicorns and over $2 billion in assets under management. The project was a custom Webflow build with a visual language developed alongside our design partner The Offsite Agency, combining deep navy backgrounds, precise typography, and scroll-triggered GSAP animations.
The existing website was outdated and did not serve the dual audience well: entrepreneurs looking to pitch and LPs evaluating the firm. We needed to build something that conveyed authority, provided utility, and performed flawlessly.

Strategic Design Decisions
Working with our design partner The Offsite Agency, we developed a visual language that balances institutional credibility with Silicon Valley's forward-thinking culture. Deep navy backgrounds, precise typography, and smooth scroll-triggered animations create a premium feel without feeling stuffy.
The navigation architecture was carefully planned around two user journeys: founders exploring the portfolio and investment thesis, and institutional partners reviewing track record and team.
The AI Pitch Analyzer
The standout feature is the AI-powered pitch analyzer. Founders can submit their pitch materials and receive structured feedback before formally applying. This innovation serves two purposes: it provides genuine value to entrepreneurs and helps the Draper team pre-qualify inbound deal flow.
We integrated the tool directly into the Webflow site using custom embeds and API connections, maintaining the seamless user experience while powering sophisticated AI analysis on the backend.
The AI pitch analyzer transformed Draper's website from a static brochure into an active funnel for deal flow.
Performance and Results
The site launched with sub-2-second load times, 95+ Lighthouse scores across all metrics, and full mobile responsiveness. The component-based architecture means the Draper team can update portfolio companies, team members, and content independently.
